Social Structure
There were 7 social classes.
The first social class is the Pharaoh. This consists of one person and is the richest person there and was the leader. He lives in a temple and wears a huge amount of gold and jewelry. He had daily meetings and had to pay tribute to the chief god every day.
Next was the noblemen. They wore leather sandals and linen kilts. They also lived in town houses and checked cattle for a job.
Priests were third in the class and they wore white, red, blue, and green linen. They lived in temples or houses and practices their chanting in their free time.
Then there were the artisans . They ate figs, breads, butter, and milk and lived in a home. They also constructed buildings for their work and spent their free time taking naps.
The fifth social class was the soldiers. They wore sandals and cloth skirts and lived in the palace while guarding it. They also worked on guarding the pharaoh and in their free time they worked on the irrigation system.
Next in the social pyramid were the farmers. They wore a coarse linen kit and a pair of reed sandals and lived in a home. They worked on filling the baskets and loaded them onto donkeys and in their free time they had lunch with their workers.
The last social class was for women and the slaves/peasants. They wore rough linen dresses and lived in small houses. Their jobs were to do laundry and cooking food while their free time was spent training kids. The slaves had to work long hours in the sun. They were not treated well ether.
