The Three Kingdoms
There were three kingdoms in Ancient Egypt. The old kingdom, the middle kingdom, and the new kingdom.
The Old Kingdom: This period is sometimes called the Age Of Pyramids. During this time early pharaohs set up a strong central government. Also pharaohs built great pyramids as tombs for themselves.
The Middle Kingdom: The Middle Kingdom is often referred to as the Period of Reunification. It is called this because it followed all of the chaos and disunity in Egypt. During this era, they Egyptians made many achievements in art, literature, and architecture.
The New Kingdom: The New Kingdom was also known as Egypt’s Golden Age. This time was peaceful and stable. Egypt’s power also reached its height. Pharaohs increased trade and built gigantic monuments.
