Temples
The ancient Egyptians also had temples. Temples were used for a great many community activities. The women came every day with offerings of food and goods they had made. Most of the women stayed to talk with the other women who had stopped by. Grain was also stored there. The Ancient Egyptians believed that after they died they would move on to a real world, the Land of Two Fields, where they would spend the rest of eternity.
Pyramids
The Ancient Egyptians built pyramids as tombs for their Pharaohs and their queens. The pharaohs were buried in these pyramids. There are 80 pyramids known as of today. After the old kingdom, the pyramids fell out of style. Pyramids cost a lot of time and money to build. They were also very easy for robbers to spot. So the ancient Egyptians began burying their dead in tombs. The most know pyramid was located in Giza and was called The Great Pyramid.
